Board of Trustees approves new dean appointments

EAST LANSING, Mich. — Three Michigan State University colleges will have new deans in place this fall following unanimous approval by the university’s board of trustees at its meeting on Monday, July 17.

MSU Provost Kim Wilcox recommended the board approve the appointments of:

  • Satish Udpa as dean of the College of Engineering. He had been serving as acting dean of the college.
  • Mary Mundt as dean of the College of Nursing. She is currently the dean of the University of Louisville School of Nursing.
  • Christopher Brown as dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine. A former MSU faculty member, he is currently chairperson of the Department of Veterinary Clinical Studies at the University of Guelph Ontario Veterinary College.
